Manage Reminder Notifications
The Manage Reminder Notifications page allows an Administrator to create reminder notification messages that will be sent to assigned users when a report has remained at a specific status for a defined period of time. The message text and time intervals can be entered on this page.
There are two types of reminder notifications: First Notification and Subsequent Notification. The First reminder notification is only sent once after the first time interval has expired. The Subsequent Notification will continually send after the expiration of each subsequent time interval as long as the report status has remained unchanged.
For example, if the first reminder notification for an 'Open' Status was set to 5 days, the message typed into the 'Send Message' field will be sent to assigned investigators if the status of the incident report has remained 'Open' for more than 5 days. If 2 days were entered in the 'Following Intervals' field, then the Investigators will receive the message in the 'Send Message' field every 2 days after the first interval has expired as long as the status remains 'Open'.
The default setting for all notifications/intervals is zero days which will result in no Reminder Notifications being sent. To enable this feature, the notification/interval value must be greater than zero. Any text included in the 'Send Message' field will be included in the email reminder notifications.
The Manage Reminder Notifications page is shown below:
Note: Reminder Notifications are only sent to Investigators when the notification/interval values are greater than zero and the Investigator has their 'Receive Reminder Notifications' option enabled (checked). The reminder notification text is limited to a length of 512 characters.
It is possible for an Administrator to turn reminder notifications on or off for specific Investigators using the Edit User page.
